San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York has pleaded no contest to two criminal charges after his arrest at a trailer park in East Palestine, Ohio, at the weekend, with new court documents now detailing the allegations behind the case. According to the New York Post, the paperwork states that York responded to an online advert and "arranged to have sexual activity with [a] female in exchange for $140," before his initial arrest on suspicion of prostitution was amended to a disorderly conduct charge, alongside a separate count of possessing criminal tools.

York, 46, was sentenced to one day in jail for each charge, to be served concurrently, and was released on Monday morning; he was also fined a total of $1,150 and ordered to complete an online course, though the "criminal tools" involved were not specified. The East Palestine Police Department and the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force carried out the arrest; York, who grew up nearby in Youngstown, still keeps a home in the area. He is nephew of former 49ers owner Edward J DeBartolo Jr, became the team's CEO in 2008 and its principal owner in 2024, and also holds stakes in Leeds United and Rangers through 49ers Enterprises.
