Sarah Ferguson’s charity is shut down after probe into her links with disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein

Daily Mail · 1 hour ago

Sarah Ferguson’s charity, Sarah’s Trust, is to close “for the foreseeable future” after newly released emails highlighted the depth of her contact with Jeffrey Epstein after his conviction for a child sex offence. The decision adds to the reputational consequences for Ferguson, whose links to Epstein have already prompted several other charities to end her patronage.

The trust, founded in 2020, worked on initiatives supporting women and children and addressing humanitarian and environmental crises. Its board said the closure had been under discussion for several months; the latest US Justice Department documents included emails in which Ferguson described Epstein as a “legend” and as the brother she had always wanted, despite later expressing regret over their association.

  • Sarah’s Trust will close following fresh Epstein email disclosures.
  • Emails showed Ferguson remained in contact after Epstein’s conviction.
  • Other charities had already cut ties with Ferguson.
