The 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival will run in Bosnia’s capital from 14 to 21 August, combining major new films with tributes to the festival’s history. Director Jovan Marjanović says the programme reflects both the strength of international cinema and the growing vitality of filmmaking in Southeast Europe, reinforcing Sarajevo’s role as the region’s leading screen showcase.

The festival opens with Paweł Pawlikowski’s Cannes award-winning “Fatherland” and closes with Danis Tanović’s Oscar-winning “No Man’s Land”, marking its 25th anniversary. Its competitions include 21 world premieres, six international premieres, one European premiere and 23 regional premieres, with films by Visar Morina, Sandra Wollner, Blerta Basholli and Urša Menart among the highlights.
