‘Saturday Night Live UK’ confirms more guests for season two line-up
Saturday Night Live UK has revealed further hosts and musical guests for its second season, building on the previously announced opening show featuring Jeff Goldblum and CMAT. Jamie Demetriou will host on 19 September with Royal Blood performing, while Amelia Dimoldenberg fronts the third episode on 26 September alongside musical guest Rachel Chinouriri. The announcements continue the rollout of the show's six-episode second run, which began on 12 September on Sky, with a further run planned for 2027.
The British version of the long-running US sketch show launched on Sky One in March, hosted by Tina Fey with Wet Leg as musical guests, and has since featured hosts including Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed and Nicola Coughlan, alongside musical acts such as Kasabian, Foo Fighters and MEEK. All eleven original cast members are returning for season two, which Sky has billed as a "fresh season of unpredictable, must-watch Saturday night television." The show has generally been well received but has also attracted controversy, including backlash over a joke by cast member Ania Magliano comparing Mark Zuckerberg to Hitler, which she later defended, saying the tech billionaire was "fair game."
