Schlong-shaped flight path formed by police chopper ‘unfortunate’ coincidence: cops

A police helicopter flying over Hampshire left a route that appeared phallic when viewed on online tracking data, prompting an apology from the National Police Air Service. The incident drew attention after the route woke a resident’s young daughter and he raised concerns about the use of police resources.

Gordon Bird, 53, said it took about half an hour for the shape to form late on Monday night. The helicopter flew mainly above Blackbushe Airport, then circled over Ancells Farm in Fleet before returning to base; police said it was searching for a vehicle that had driven past a police stop and that its route was unintentional.
