Sci-Fi Horror Comedy ‘Flapjax’ Boards Blue Finch Films for Sales Ahead of Fantastic Fest Bow (EXCLUSIVE)
British sales and distribution outfit Blue Finch Films has secured worldwide sales rights to "Flapjax," a sci-fi horror comedy from director Rocko Zevenbergen, ahead of the film's world premiere at Fantastic Fest next month. The deal, struck through the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival's FanPitch development platform, gives Blue Finch a genre title to launch at the new industry market running alongside the Toronto Film Festival.
The film follows Arrow, an overzealous fast-food manager who inadvertently helps advance an alien scheme by serving customers a sinister new menu item called Flapjax. Zevenbergen, best known for his debut "I Need You Dead!", co-wrote the script with Estevan Muñoz and produced through Prowler Pictures alongside several producers and executive producers, with a cast led by Gabriel Cagan. The project has reportedly been in development for over six years, and Blue Finch's wider slate also includes Toronto Midnight Madness entry "Kick On" and George MacKay-starring "Misson."
