Scotland can be best & worst team in world – Dempsey

Jack Dempsey says Scotland must build momentum and stay true to their message for longer if they are to break through against the world’s top rugby sides. His comments come before Scotland’s 34th attempt to beat New Zealand, after three close defeats under head coach Gregor Townsend.

Dempsey says Scotland can play like the best team in the world for 20 minutes, then the worst for the next 20, and points to South Africa’s consistency as a model. He will earn his 50th Test cap on Saturday, his 36th for Scotland; based in Japan, he is available for the Nations Championship and World Cup, but not the Six Nations.
