Oni Press will publish *Scott Pilgrim EX: Dawn of Metal Scott #1*, a one-shot prequel comic by Bryan Lee O’Malley, on 11 November. It is O’Malley’s first new *Scott Pilgrim* comic in 16 years and explores the origins of Metal Scott, the robotic villain introduced in the recent video game *Scott Pilgrim EX*.

The 24-page issue contains a 16-page story, written and illustrated by O’Malley, plus previously unseen behind-the-scenes material. Set after Scott and Ramona have settled into life together, it depicts Metal Scott’s emergence as a new danger and is intended both as an entry point for new readers and added context for game fans.
