Aberdeen came from behind with two late goals to beat Hearts 2-1 at Pittodrie in their Scottish Premiership opener. The result extended Hearts’ difficult start under Wouter Vrancken, while Aberdeen showed resilience to turn a seemingly controlled defeat into a dramatic home victory.

Hearts led from the 35th minute when Oisin McEntee scored after a scramble in the box, and they remained comfortable for much of the second half. Lewis Mayo equalised in the 90th minute, before Stuart Findlay was sent off for bringing down Toyosi Olusanya and Kevin Nisbet converted the resulting stoppage-time penalty in the 95th minute. Elsewhere, Killian Phillips scored twice as St Mirren won 2-0 at Falkirk.
