Scout Motors Salutes Hard-working Americans at Rolling Stone’s July 4th Stateside Fest

Rolling Stone · 5 hours ago

Rolling Stone held its inaugural Stateside festival in Kingston, New York, over the Fourth of July weekend, marking America's 250th birthday with an all-American lineup headlined by Noah Kahan. Scout Motors, the revived American vehicle brand backed by Volkswagen Group, served as the event's official automotive sponsor, using the occasion to showcase its upcoming electric and extended-range electric trucks and SUVs alongside a celebration of American music and craftsmanship.

Scout hosted its own stage featuring emerging artists such as Michaela Anne, Devon Gilfillian and Calder Allen, plus a "Tailgate Sessions" pavilion displaying prototypes of the Terra pickup and Traveller SUV, both styled after classic 1970s International Harvester Scout vehicles but fitted with modern touchscreens. Founded in 2022, Scout plans to begin customer deliveries in 2028, with manufacturing based in South Carolina, design and engineering in Michigan, and software development in Fremont, California; company representatives framed the brand's presence at the festival as a tribute to American workers and job creation.
