Second man charged with raping woman
A second man has been charged in connection with the alleged rape of a woman in Normanton, West Yorkshire, following an incident in the early hours of 1 August. John Hanrahan, 32, of South View, Barnsley, has been charged with rape and is due before Leeds Crown Court on 25 September. The case remains under investigation, with West Yorkshire Police confirming the victim, a woman in her 30s, is receiving support from specially trained officers.
The alleged offence took place at a property on Wakefield Road. Michael Connors, 28, of no fixed abode, was previously charged with rape over the same incident and is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 21 September, ahead of Hanrahan's hearing.
