Secondaries expand to meet rising pupil numbers
Sheffield City Council plans to expand Forge Valley and Meadowhead secondary schools to meet growing demand for places. The changes are intended to ensure sufficient capacity for Year 7 pupils over the next three academic years and beyond.
Forge Valley School in Malin Bridge would receive £4.5m of expansion work and formally add 150 places over five years. Meadowhead School in Dyche Lane would receive £1m and admit one additional form of around 30 pupils in each of 2026-27, 2027-28 and 2028-29.
