Secret Service Arrests Man Near White House After Allegedly Saying He Wanted To Kill Trump
Secret Service officers arrested Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos near the White House after finding him in a reported stolen pickup with three firearms. US officials said he had threatened to kill President Donald Trump, making the arrest a security concern amid what the Secret Service director described as a heightened threat environment. The court affidavit, however, does not mention the alleged threat or the reported claim that voices directed him to Washington.
The search of the truck reportedly uncovered an AR-15 rifle, a MAC-10 machine pistol, a Glock handgun and dozens of rounds of ammunition. Guanipa Chrinos faces multiple firearm and ammunition charges, as well as charges linked to the vehicle and its alleged theft; he is being held without bond and under an immigration detainer. DHS says he entered the US through Texas in March 2024, was arrested by Border Patrol and later released.
