See Gracie Abrams Give an Intimate Performance of ‘Broke My Heart’ on Amazon Music’s ‘Songline’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Amazon Music has released a new episode of its "Songline" docu-performance series featuring Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams, with Variety sharing an exclusive preview of her performance of "Broke My Heart". Filmed at the historic Church Studios in North London, the episode sees Abrams revisit tracks from her recent album "Daughter from Hell" through stripped-back performances and candid conversation with longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner, exploring the stories behind the songs and their six-year working relationship.
The full film premieres on 10 September, joining a "Songline" roster that has previously featured artists including Billie Eilish, Laufey, A$AP Rocky, Maren Morris, Reneé Rapp and Ed Sheeran. Abrams described the experience as a chance to "sit with these songs in a completely different way", performing with just her band in a room, while Dessner praised the authenticity and vulnerability of her songwriting, saying it reflects why she connects so deeply with fans.
