Shudder has released a trailer for "V/H/S/MIXTAPE", the ninth instalment in the found-footage horror franchise, which centres on music and sound as sources of terror. The anthology brings together acclaimed filmmakers and musicians to create a genre-blending horror experience that combines cosmic horror, psychological suspense, and practical effects. This release capitalises on the franchise's momentum following the record-breaking success of "V/H/S/HALLOWEEN" in 2025.

The film features segments from legendary director Ernest Dickerson, hip-hop artist RZA, director David Moreau, and filmmaker Renee Zhan, with creature effects from Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Music video interludes come from Flying Lotus, whilst Tobias Forge of the band Ghost makes his directorial debut with an original video. The cast also includes an appearance from shock-metal band GWAR. "V/H/S/MIXTAPE" arrives on Shudder on 9 October 2026.
