Sega Is Auctioning Off Shadow The Hedgehog’s Real-Life Motorcycle For a Good Cause

IGN ·

Sega is auctioning a custom Shadow the Hedgehog-themed motorcycle to raise money for the Luca Guintoli Foundation. The non-running display bike was created for Sega’s 2024 Year of Shadow promotional campaign for Sonic 3, making the sale a piece of game and film memorabilia as well as a charity fundraiser.

The motorcycle will be sold by Bonhams at the Autumn Stafford Sale on 10–11 October 2026 and has a 1,750cc S&S engine, although its foam fuel tank means it is not roadworthy. Proceeds will support children with autism or cancer in England and Wales through financial, educational and practical help; the foundation honours Luca Guintoli, who died from cancer aged six.
