Semi-Final Bound – Steelers Beat Storm to Book Challenge Cup Place – Sheffield Steelers

Sheffield Steelers beat Manchester Storm 5-2 to secure a place in the Challenge Cup semi-finals, avoiding the play-in round. The win came in a match both sides needed, and leaves Sheffield two games away from a chance to play for the trophy.

The Steelers surged to a 4-1 lead in the first period, with Ryan Tait scoring twice, alongside goals from Leevi Teissala and Tim Gettinger. Storm cut the gap to 4-2 in the third, but a Sheffield offside challenge overturned another apparent goal before Mikko Juusola made it 5-2. The semi-final opponent will be decided after the remaining group fixtures; 6,872 attended the game.
