Serve refreshments and spot demons in Night Plane, a PSX-style horror job sim about being a flight attendant in 1999
Rock Paper Shotgun has previewed Night Plane, a PS1-style horror job simulation in which players work as a flight attendant on a plane full of sinister passengers in the year 1999. It joins a growing trend of horror-themed workplace simulation games, but distinguishes itself with its retro aesthetic and airborne setting, tasking players with routine cabin duties while watching for supernatural threats among the passengers and outside the aircraft.
The game is being developed by Liquid Static Studio and Snapping Turtle, and published by New Tales, with a release planned later this year. Alongside standard flight-attendant tasks such as checking tickets, serving refreshments and stowing baggage, players must contend with turbulence and otherworldly creatures, including "goatmen" seen outside the plane. A Steam playtest is currently being advertised ahead of the full release.
