Netflix is developing a new Sesame Street film with Rideback and Sesame Workshop, while extending its deal for the Sesame Street series through season 62. The announcement forms part of a broader expansion of Netflix’s preschool content, including new programmes, specials, games and accessibility-focused viewing options.

Further plans include more season 57 episodes, the CGI spin-off Mecha Builders, Gabby’s Dollhouse spin-off Doozie’s Doghouse, and four Gabby-themed holiday baking specials. Netflix is also adding Puppy Pirates, further seasons of Bad Dinosaurs, new games and a low-stimulation collection; children’s and family viewing accounted for 15% of its total viewing hours in the first half of 2026.
