Seth Rogen, Danny Boyle, Colman Domingo, Mo Abudu Join TIFF: The Market Summit Lineup

The Hollywood Reporter · 2 hours ago

The Toronto International Film Festival has completed the speaker lineup for the Summit sessions at its debut edition of TIFF: The Market, a new industry event launching alongside the festival in September. Seth Rogen, Danny Boyle, Colman Domingo and Nigerian media mogul Mo Abudu are among the latest names added, joining a roster designed to address key questions facing the entertainment industry. The event marks a significant step for Toronto, which has hosted informal dealmaking for years but is now establishing its first fully fledged content market.

Rogen and Boyle will feature in the Visionaries programme, presented by The Hollywood Reporter, alongside previously announced speaker Gary Oldman, while the Dialogues strand adds figures including Hirokazu Kore-eda, Yeon Sang-ho and Amber Midthunder to headliners such as Warner Bros. Motion Pictures Group co-CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy. The Perspectives section will include Domingo discussing equity in independent film alongside Clint Bentley and Greg Kwedar, plus a global sales session led by CAA's Roeg Sutherland and FilmNation's Glen Basner. In total, TIFF: The Market will run over 70 sessions and events from 10-16 September, with the wider festival running until 20 September, and organisers say the market aims to expand beyond film into television, gaming and immersive content.
