Seventeen’s Jeonghan and Joshua Find Their JxJ Duo Sound on ‘Dreamscape’: ‘Right in the Middle Between Strong and Subtle’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Seventeen’s Jeonghan and Joshua have released “Dreamscape”, their first album as the duo JxJ, giving them room to explore musical styles and sides of themselves distinct from their work in the 13-member group. The project also marks Jeonghan’s return to new music after completing South Korea’s mandatory military service this summer.
The two singers, who previously recorded a duet in 2018, say their company proposed the collaboration and they wanted to build on fans’ interest in their chemistry. Joshua contributed to writing and composing his alternative rock solo “Not Personal” and co-wrote lyrics for the closing song, while Jeonghan co-wrote his electro-house solo “Coloring”. Jeonghan said his time in the military left him with a stronger appreciation of warmth and consideration, feelings he hoped to bring into the music.
