Shakira and Burna Boy's "Dai Dai," the official FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem, has become the highest-charting official World Cup song in Billboard Hot 100 history, jumping from No. 42 to No. 17 on the chart dated 1 August. This surpasses Shakira's own 2010 hit "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," which had held the record with a peak of No. 38, and marks the first time a World Cup song has topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.

The song's surge was fuelled by high-profile live performances: Shakira and Burna Boy performed it before more than 80,000 fans at the tournament's opening ceremony in Mexico City on 11 June, and it featured prominently in the first-ever World Cup final halftime show on 19 July at MetLife Stadium, alongside Justin Bieber, BTS and Madonna. In the US, the track logged 8.6 million streams (up 69%), 13.9 million in radio airplay audience (up 11%) and 7,000 sales (up 322%) in the week of 17–23 July. The success gives Shakira her 13th top 40 Hot 100 hit and Burna Boy his second, and first as lead artist.
