Sheff Wed in talks to sign Morrison from Liverpool
Sheffield Wednesday are negotiating with Liverpool over a season-long loan deal for winger Kieran Morrison, as the Anfield club looks to further the young player's development away from the first team. The move would give the League One side a promising attacking talent, while allowing Liverpool to keep tabs on his progress before any future decision on his senior career.
Morrison, 19, made his Liverpool debut in October's Carabao Cup defeat by Crystal Palace and also featured in the FA Cup win over Wolves in March. He impressed for the club's Premier League 2 side, scoring 14 goals and adding two assists in 18 appearances while captaining the team in the second half of last season. The Northern Ireland international, who won his first senior cap in June's friendly victory over Guinea, has also attracted interest from clubs abroad and elsewhere in the Championship.
