Burstow, 22, joins for the season after scoring 12 goals in 53 League One matches while on loan at Bolton last term, helping them secure promotion to the Championship; he is Wednesday’s latest summer addition alongside goalkeeper Connal Trueman.

  • Burstow joins on a season-long loan from Hull.
  • Burstow scored 12 goals for Bolton last season.

Sheffield Wednesday, often called Wednesday, are a football club based in Sheffield. They compete in the English Football League, where clubs move between divisions through promotion and relegation.

A goalkeeper is responsible for stopping the opposition scoring, while a striker leads the attack and aims to score goals. Ashley Maynard-Brewer has played in England and Scotland, and Mason Burstow has experience in League One and the Championship, two divisions in the English league system.

Squad depth matters over a long season because injuries, suspensions and changes in form can leave teams needing different players. Wednesday’s additions give the club more options in goal and up front as it prepares for its matches.
