Explained simply
Sheffield’s Christmas market is a seasonal event in the city centre, with traders selling food, drink, gifts and crafts from temporary cabins. It brings visitors to several shopping streets and public spaces, and gives local businesses a chance to trade during the festive season.
The event is organised across different parts of the city, so activities and opening times can vary by location. Attractions such as an ice rink or snow slide are designed to add activities beyond shopping, while lights and decorations shape the wider city-centre experience.
