Sheffield postcode lottery: round-up of winners in South Yorkshire – including two from Sheffield

Eight postcodes across South Yorkshire and neighbouring Derbyshire have been selected as winners in the Postcode Lottery during a two-week period from mid-August through late August 2026. Three of the winning addresses fell within Sheffield's postcode areas, whilst others were distributed across Chesterfield, Killamarsh, Barnsley, Rotherham, and surrounding localities, each prize valued at £1,000.

The Postcode Lottery functions as a subscription-based gaming scheme where participants pay £12.50 monthly and use their postcode as an entry ticket for prize draws. The programme directs proceeds towards charitable organisations and community initiatives, with players collectively having raised in excess of £1.8 billion for causes including health charities, animal welfare organisations, and mental health services across Britain and internationally.
