Sheffield United winger Christian Nwachukwu has left the club to join Azerbaijani Premier League side Sabah FC for an undisclosed fee. The move ends the Nigerian youngster’s short spell at Bramall Lane and gives him a chance to pursue regular first-team football elsewhere.

The 20-year-old joined the Blades from Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv in February 2025 as part of the club’s data-led recruitment approach. He did not make a senior appearance for Sheffield United and spent the second half of last season on loan at Turkish second-tier club Serikspor.
