Chesterfield have signed Sheffield United striker Louie Marsh on loan for the remainder of the season, boosting the League Two club's attacking options. The 22-year-old is a product of United's academy and has made six first-team appearances for the Blades, scoring once, though he has yet to establish himself as a regular starter at Bramall Lane.

Marsh has gained experience through previous loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and Fleetwood Town, and spent the second half of last season with Scottish Premiership side Falkirk, where he registered a goal and two assists in nine appearances. Speaking to the club's website, Marsh said he was looking forward to joining a "massive club with big aspirations" and hoped to make his debut immediately, while Chesterfield assistant manager Danny Webb praised his experience and attacking threat for a player of his age.
