Sheffield Wednesday have held talks with Matt Hamshaw about joining Henrik Pedersen’s coaching staff, according to The Star. The potential appointment would strengthen the club’s backroom team as it rebuilds after administration, relegation and a takeover.
Hamshaw, 44, previously worked as an assistant manager at Derby County and most recently managed Rotherham United. He has been out of work since Rotherham dismissed him in March, before the club’s relegation to League Two, although Premier League clubs have also reportedly shown interest.
