Count Binface, the UK's trash-can-costumed perennial election candidate, has issued a video message urging Sega to give an update on the long-awaited Shenmue 4. The request came via a Cameo video commissioned by fan group Shenmue Dojo, and it lands amid a surge in Binface's public profile: he is standing as the sole challenger to Reform UK leader Nigel Farage in the Clacton by-election, triggered after Farage resigned as MP amid personal financing allegations he denies.

In the video, Binface, real name comedian Jon Harvey, jokingly calls on Sega to "get your bottoms in gear" and provide news on Shenmue 4, quipping that Sega might need "nationalising along with Adele" and that he'd like to revive SegaWorld in London's Trocadero. Rival parties have dismissed Farage's Clacton candidacy as a stunt and said they will not contest the seat, leaving the by-election as a straight fight between Farage and Binface, whose slogan is "my appeal is that I'm not Nigel Farage."
