Shrek 2 Remastered Officially Announced With Must-See GTA 6-inspired Trailer

Aspyr has announced Shrek 2 Remastered, using a trailer styled after the dramatic marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6. The re-release brings the 2004 film-based platform game to current consoles and PC, and adds online co-op, making its multiplayer available beyond local play.

It launches on 10 November for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X. The remaster includes improved textures, an enhanced interface, upgraded cutscenes and 4K resolution, plus Photo Mode and Cheat Mode; up to four players can team up online. The announcement comes ahead of the expected 2027 release of Shrek 5.
