Sam Barlow, the former Silent Hill lead designer and creator of Her Story and Immortality, has unveiled Precognition, a live-action sci-fi horror game made with film director Brandon Cronenberg. The game follows Diana, who gains visions of her future after receiving an experimental brain implant, and will centre on player choice, non-linear storytelling and the consequences of altering events.

Precognition is being published by Kinetic Publishing, the new label founded by Phasmophobia developer Kinetic Games, and is scheduled for spring 2028. It is part of an initial five-game slate also including Contact Protocol in spring 2027, Crescent County in summer 2027, Shellbound in summer 2028 and Aether Wizard Life in autumn 2028; Kinetic says it aims to support independent developers without removing their creative control.
