Silica, an FPS and RTS hybrid that mixes a smidge of Dune and Helldivers together, has left early access and entered 1.0
Silica, the science-fiction game that combines first-person shooting with real-time strategy, has left early access and reached version 1.0. Developed by Martin Melichárek under Bohemia Interactive, it sets two human factions against one another over a valuable resource, while giant alien creatures threaten both sides.
Players can fight on the ground with friends or command units from above. The 1.0 release adds the Centauri Campaign, a voiced, story-led single-player experience set during the war for Baltarus, as well as improved unit commands and AI, 1v1 commander matchmaking and expanded Steam Workshop tools for creating and sharing scenarios.
In short
- Silica has launched its 1.0 release after early access.
- The update adds a voiced single-player campaign.
- Players can fight as soldiers or command armies.
