‘Silo’ Meets ‘The Last of Us’ in Prime Video’s Best Sci-Fi Series Officially Returning in 2027
Prime Video's post-apocalyptic drama Fallout, adapted from Bethesda's video game series, has been confirmed to return for a third season in 2027. The show has become one of the streamer's biggest successes, praised for building an original story within the game's established canon rather than simply retelling one instalment, and for introducing popular characters such as The Ghoul and Lucy.
Fallout's second season debuted at the end of 2025 and continued into early 2026, and the series has recently climbed back into the global top 10 in more than 15 countries. It arrives amid a broader run of form for Prime Video, which is also seeing success with Reacher, currently filming its fifth season, and Cross, renewed for a third season featuring Ron Perlman. Fallout has drawn comparisons to Silo and The Last of Us for its shared themes of underground vaults and wasteland survival.
