Newly formed art project silt. has released its debut single "trauma porn," a track exploring the difficulty of being alone and the lengths people go to avoid self-reflection. The group's press materials are deliberately vague, describing itself as existing "between London and the inherited landscapes of the Lake District and Norfolk" and rejecting labels like traditional band or solo act, with no members named. Despite the mystery, the song has drawn attention for its eerie, shifting tone, moving between dreamy and abrasive passages.

Musically, the track's second half stands out, with drums that gradually disintegrate and vocals spiralling into what's been described as a "tornado of sadness," while lyrics touch on flies, bones and Demi Moore. In a statement, the collective said the song examines "the emotional loops we trap ourselves inside" and the volatility of treating one's own feelings as content to scroll through. Despite the anonymity, it has since emerged that silt. is led by Oliver Beardmore, who previously released music under his own name before adopting this new artistic identity, with more material reportedly on the way.
