Simone Biles has revealed she is purchasing a new Porsche after her Porsche GTS was stolen from her Chicago-area home by three masked men. Although the vehicle was subsequently recovered, the Olympic gymnast has decided to replace it rather than continue driving a car that has been used by thieves. She announced the decision on TikTok, citing her discomfort with the vehicle's compromised status.

The high-performance Porsche is jointly owned by Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, a safety for the Indianapolis Colts. Whilst the stolen vehicle was retrieved, the theft will appear on its Carfax report, significantly damaging its trade-in value and resale prospects. This incident marks the second security concern for the couple in recent months; Owens previously reported an attempted theft of his shopping bag whilst attending the Winter Olympics in Milan in February.
