A new Comic-Con trailer for DC’s *Lanterns* has revealed Sinestro and shown the action expanding from its Nebraska-set murder investigation into space. Footage screened at the Hall H panel also emphasised a more grounded, crime-focused tone than the previous *Green Lantern* film adaptation, while retaining the franchise’s intergalactic scale.

The series follows rookie John Stewart, played by Aaron Pierre, as veteran Lantern Hal Jordan, played by Kyle Chandler, trains him as an intergalactic police officer. Six additional clips included Stewart first using his power ring, Jordan confronting an apparent alien suspect with an explosive device, and teasers for Guy Gardner; Nathan Fillion made an unannounced panel appearance as Gardner.
