Singapore Airlines unveils S$2 billion cabin upgrade with new First Class double beds, Business Class seats with privacy doors
Singapore Airlines has announced a cabin redesign costing more than S$2 billion, bringing new seats and suites to its long-haul fleet from the second half of 2027. The changes include First Class suites that can form a double bed and Business Class seats with sliding privacy doors, alongside upgrades to Premium Economy and Economy.
The First Class double bed will measure 80 inches long and 60 inches wide, and the centre-seat divider can be retracted for passengers travelling together. New products will be fitted progressively to 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900s and the airline’s incoming Boeing 777-9s; the 777-9s will get all four cabin products, while the A350-900s will receive new Business Class seats. SIA says the designs draw on research with more than 5,000 travellers, staff and industry experts, and are part of wider improvements to entertainment, dining, connectivity and lounges.
