Six-try Ulster secure bonus point against Zebre
Ulster began their European Challenge Cup campaign with a 40-21 win over Zebre in Parma, earning a bonus point with six tries. The result gives last season’s beaten finalists a strong start, although Zebre made the second half more competitive.
Academy graduate Henry Walker scored twice on his first competitive start, while Jacob Stockdale, David McCann, Mike Lowry and Martin Moloney also crossed for Ulster. Zebre replied through Giovanni Licata, Alessandro Ortombina and Giovanni Montemauri; their late try briefly put Ulster’s bonus point at risk before Moloney restored the three-try margin. Ulster now return to the URC for three away matches, beginning with visits to the Bulls and Stormers.
