Six workers were injured, two seriously, when a forklift lost control during the load-out after Ed Sheeran's concert at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday night. The incident occurred near a backstage tunnel used to move stage equipment as crews dismantled the set, and one injured worker was employed by the stadium itself. Ford Field has launched a full review and is cooperating with authorities and the tour's production partners.

Fire crews were called at around 11pm local time; two workers were listed in serious condition and four in stable condition, with none of the injuries deemed life-threatening. One worker, speaking anonymously, said he was struck in the chest and described the accident as happening in a split second, adding he had never witnessed anything like it before. Sheeran is currently on his "Loop Tour" promoting his album Play, which runs until early November, with his next shows scheduled for 4 and 5 September at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
