The Hollywood Reporter has released an exclusive clip from Skintown, Kieron J. Walsh’s adaptation of Ciarán McMenamin’s 2018 novel, ahead of its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Set during Northern Ireland’s 1994 IRA ceasefire, the film follows two young men attempting to escape small-town life through partying, petty deals and selling stolen ecstasy pills.

Jack Rowan and Chris Walley play Vinny and Jonty, while Jamie-Lee O’Donnell and Hope Ikpoku Jnr also feature. Walsh said the film presents young people living amid the Troubles rather than focusing solely on the conflict; it will screen in competition on Sunday during the festival’s 13–19 August run, with Visit Films handling sales.
