Sky, Propagate and Passion Pictures are developing a documentary feature about the trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who was found guilty of first-degree murder in the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur. Directed by Marian Mohamed, the film will examine the case after three decades of uncertainty and is scheduled to air in 2027.

Mohamed has followed the proceedings from the opening evidence through the verdict and will also cover Davis’s sentencing, due on 13 October. The documentary will combine courtroom material with previously unseen footage and photographs from Shakur’s family and associates, while Propagate handles worldwide sales.
