Doom pioneers Sleep have announced a new album, "Hemispheres," due out this autumn as the follow-up to 2018's "The Sciences." The release confirms the band's new lineup, first revealed in June, and arrives alongside a fresh single, continuing the momentum from their earlier 2026 comeback announcement of tour dates and a comic book tie-in.

The band's founding singer, bassist and songwriter Al Cisneros is now joined by Melvins drummer Dale Crover and Void guitarist Bubba Dupree, with Cisneros praising the chemistry of the new trio. "Hemispheres" was recorded at the Melvins' studio with longtime engineer Toshi Kasai and comprises five tracks, including the new single "The Morrisist." It lands digitally on 3 September and physically on 30 October via Third Man Records.
