Slipknot have confirmed that turntablist Sid Wilson has been removed from the band after 28 years. The announcement makes official reports that he had been permanently dismissed, reportedly over his treatment of fellow members, although the band has not publicly detailed its reasons.

The group posted that it would no longer be associated with Wilson “effective immediately”, before deleting the message around ten minutes later. Wilson’s departure follows recent exits by Chris Fehn, Craig Jones and Jay Weinberg; Slipknot last performed live at Inkcarceration 2025. Kelly Osbourne, Wilson’s former fiancée and the mother of his child, also shared critical and personal messages on Instagram after the initial reports.
