Slipknot has reportedly dismissed original DJ Sid Wilson after 28 years, with TMZ saying he was told on 31 July that his removal from the band was permanent. Neither Wilson nor Slipknot has commented publicly, and no reason for the reported decision has been given; if confirmed, it would be another major change to the group’s long-established line-up.

The report follows the departures of percussionist Chris Fehn, keyboardist Craig Jones and drummer Jay Weinberg in recent years. Wilson was hospitalised with serious burns after a bonfire explosion at his Iowa farm in 2024, and has also worked with his band SID, as DJ Starscream and through his label Vomit Face Records.
