Slow Pulp – “Spill”
Chicago band Slow Pulp have released a new song, "Spill," ahead of their upcoming third album Melodie, due out on 18 September via ANTI-. The track is a melancholic ballad about the difficulties of modern dating, following previously shared singles "Better Man" and "Not For Nothing" as previews of the record.
"Spill" was actually written first for the band's 2023 album Yard but wasn't included on that release. Vocalist Emily Massey explained that the song found its place while working on Melodie, describing it as capturing the anxiety of being stuck in casual relationships and the fear of expressing genuine feelings too soon or too late.
