Smash hit co-op space cleanup game Moon Sweepers is “nowhere near finished” as it soars past the half-million mark
Moon Sweepers has sold more than 600,000 copies in its first few days, and its concurrent player count has reached 80,385 and is still rising. Developer DragDrop Games says the launch is only the start, with a December update planned to deepen the game and further improvements informed by player feedback.
The co-op game has players clear lunar dust, then use earnings to unlock larger tools, machinery and construction options. Update 1.1 is set to add production machines and chains, materials, products, tools, upgrades, automation and building improvements, while addressing performance as bases grow. The studio has also hinted at plans beyond cleaning the Moon, but has not yet revealed details.
