Paramount has set Parker Finn’s remake of the 1981 horror film *Possession* for release on 11 June 2027. The project matters because it revisits a highly regarded cult classic, with Finn bringing experience from the commercially successful *Smile* films to a more avant-garde horror property.

The original, directed by Andrzej Żuławski, starred Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill and is widely considered an influential, demanding horror film. Paramount announced the remake in June 2024; its release will coincide with Universal’s live-action *How to Train Your Dragon 2* remake.
