‘SNL’ Makes Grok Do “Epic Vulgar Roast” Of Elon Musk On ‘Weekend Update’: “The Worst Thing South Africa Has Ever Done”

Saturday Night Live used an Elon Musk impression in a Weekend Update sketch to poke fun at his political spending and election losses. The segment also satirised Musk’s AI chatbot Grok, presenting its “Epic Vulgar Roast” feature as a way to deliver insults about him.

Jeremy Culhane played Musk, who deflected Colin Jost’s mention of his spending by joking about a car flipping over. The sketch said most candidates Musk backed had lost, then had Grok call him “the worst thing South Africa has ever done” and joke about his 100 children. Musk had also joked on X that his “election-interfering space lasers” had failed; Druski hosted the episode, with The Strokes as musical guest.
