Longtime Saturday Night Live music booker Brian Siedlecki is leaving the show after nearly 30 years, with NBC choosing not to renew his contract, The Hollywood Reporter has learnt from multiple sources. Siedlecki began as an intern in 1996 and went on to shape SNL's reputation as one of the most sought-after music bookings in entertainment, helping break emerging acts and hosting established stars alike. His exit marks the end of a significant era behind the scenes at the show, though it has drawn far less public attention than a recent high-profile cast departure.

Siedlecki's first official booking was Nelly Furtado in 2001, and over his tenure he arranged appearances by artists ranging from Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen to Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo. He did not respond to requests for comment, and his NBC email now redirects enquiries to fellow bookers Keri Powers and Rebecca Schwartz, who have been with the show since 2014 and 2015 respectively; NBC said it does not comment on staffing. The news comes just over a month before SNL's 52nd season begins on 26 September, and follows Chloe Fineman's July announcement that she is departing the cast after seven seasons to pursue a new project with David E. Kelley.
